Step 1: Create a Message Board profile so that you can exchange contact information within a personal message (PM).
Step 2: Keep your subject short and to the point. Remember, this is just to draw in potential roommates. Suggested Subject Format: Gender of the person or group, Listing Type (Group, Pair, Individual), AptartmentType, Number of Roommates Needed, Semester Available Subject Examples: Female / Group / 4BD x 2BA / Need One / Fall '16; Male / Individual / 2BD x 1BA / Need One / Fall '16; Coed / Pair / 4BD x 2BA / Need Two / Spring '17
Step 3: Write a brief description about yourself and the current roommates. Be sure to include information; such as, class standings, majors, interests/hobbies, noise level of apartment, sleeping habits (early riser, night owl, etc.), studying habits (frequency, location, noise level needed), etc.
Step 4: Explain what type of roommate(s) you are seeking. Be sure to include information about items such as cleaning expectations, behavior in common areas, cooking, smoking, parties, and guests.
Step 5: Exchange contact information through a PM. Consider only sharing your first name initially until you have meet the person. Also, consider using/creating an alternative email address to your University one in order to remain anonymous and filter roommate inquiries.
Step 6: Once you have found a roommate, be sure to have everyone in your group email Management with your updated roommate requests. Requests must be mutual in order to attend the spring Room Selection Event together. Please send updated roommate requests to NineEast33rd@cocm.com. Also, reply to your message board post indicating that the space(s) have been filled.

Hello! My name is Michael. I have just been accepted into Johns Hopkins Hospital (Main Campus), working Full-Time. I am looking for a roommate in the Charles Village Area. MY goal is to become independent, which means I would have access to various restaurants, cafes, Starbucks, etc, within reasonable walking distance. I do expect to use the Hopkins Shuttle to get me back and forth from the Hospital. I am very clean, neat, and efficient. I hope to hear from you! My number is 410-746-4252.
